Join the dynamic team at Amazon Robotics as a Software Development Engineer. We are looking for a passionate and skilled engineer to design, develop, and test software that controls and optimizes our advanced robotic fulfillment centers.
As an integral member of the Resource Management team, you will contribute to the design and development of scalable services that enhance the efficiency of our robotic systems, directly impacting timely delivery of packages to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and implement innovative robotic applications and infrastructure.
Influence team strategies and contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to refine design and implementation.
Maintain high standards through active participation in code reviews and designing for operational excellence.
Prototype and test concepts or features in simulations and with actual robotic equipment.
Engage directly with customers and partners to gather feedback and improve prototypes.
Mentor fellow engineers and support their professional growth.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years of design or architecture experience with a focus on reliability and scaling.
Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Strong familiarity with algorithms for solving complex problems in highly-scalable systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience through the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards and testing.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
