About the Role
We seek a technical QA leader with extensive experience in software delivery and test automation frameworks. This leadership role involves guiding manual and automation testers, establishing QA protocols favoring automation, and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to craft a top-tier user experience. Regular coding is required.
Responsibilities
Technical Execution
Build and manage testing frameworks for functional, system integration, and regression testing.
Develop and execute automated test cases using commercial or open-source frameworks.
Collaborate to select best test and automation frameworks for web, API, and microservices.
Document test cases and develop testing strategies for existing systems.
Contribute to test automation workflows through design and coding.
Collaboration
Work with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure excellent user experience.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Demos, and Backlog Refinement.
Engage in architecture design sessions for new features.
Team Leadership
Oversee test case execution, analyze results, and report on coverage and defects.
Mentor manual and automation testers.
Create documentation and training plans for QA team development.
Manage QA operations across multiple teams.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in IT, CS, or related field.
8+ years in test automation.
Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in automation for frontend, microservices, and APIs.
Strong knowledge of Agile testing and SDLC principles.
Experience with tools like Cypress, Selenium, Postman, ReadyAPI; Cypress preferred.
Experience with 3rd party data integrations (ETL) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.
AWS experience is essential; Azure or GCP considered.
Knowledge of CI/CD frameworks; GitHub Actions preferred.
