We are seeking skilled AWS Dedicated Cloud Engineers to join our Region Reliability Engineering & Automation (RRE&A) team, dedicated to ensuring the seamless functionality of AWS’s dedicated cloud regions through proactive reliability engineering, innovative automation, and advanced solutions. Ideal candidates will possess a robust technical skill set in Development, Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering, with a clear understanding of the Agile mindset and DevOps philosophies. This position requires the candidate to hold an active TS/SCI security clearance now and throughout employment. After joining, candidates must also secure and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or equivalent clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed.

Expand coverage for critical AWS services across regions. Deep Dive and Troubleshoot:
Engage in detailed investigations of system and service interdependencies, proactively identifying and addressing region-specific challenges before they disrupt operations. Mentorship and Growth:
Collaborate with top industry engineers, facilitating continuous learning and fostering a culture of excellence and reliability. Support National Security:
Partner with U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies to provide secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions that ensure mission resilience. A Day in the Life: On a typical day, you will work alongside service engineers to preemptively resolve potential issues, drive automation initiatives, and connect with AWS's leading technical experts. Your efforts will be crucial in building and operating high-performance systems, significantly reducing operational burdens for other AWS Dedicated Cloud teams and enhancing regional reliability. Basic Qualifications: Associate's degree or higher, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification. 3+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows). Experience with scripting languages. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in cloud computing technologies. 3+ years of networking experience. 3+ years of experience with production environment support procedures and methodologies.
