Job Overview:
APTIM is seeking an experienced DOT Fleet Operations and Hazardous Materials Advisor to bring invaluable expertise to our clients in navigating Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Hazardous Materials regulations in 49 CFR, as well as Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations from IATA and IMDG. This pivotal role will enhance APTIM's services across various sectors including retail, logistics, hospitality, food & beverage, utilities, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Utilize existing industry connections to cultivate new business opportunities for APTIM. Assist in formulating and executing strategic market and business plans to expand APTIM's Environmental Solutions offerings. Act as the subject matter expert on hazardous materials transportation, devising innovative solutions to client compliance challenges. Foster collaboration with APTIM's account managers to identify cross-selling opportunities and enrich current client relationships. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and effectively communicate relevant updates to staff and clients. Provide project management support, including planning, budgeting, client engagement, and task management for DOT compliance projects. Contribute to the recruitment and mentorship of subject matter experts to strengthen APTIM's competitive position. Engage in technical seminars and industry events to enhance market presence and broaden client outreach. Exhibit creativity and proactive problem-solving to meet customer needs and elevate service offerings. Participate in APTIM’s capabilities presentations to customers as required. Basic Qualifications: Over 15 years of experience in managing dangerous goods and fleet hazmat compliance programs. In-depth knowledge of IATA DGR, IMDG Code, and 49 CFR hazmat regulations. Comprehensive understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Exceptional communication skills with flexibility for client engagement. Proven track record in delivering DOT services to commercial customers in relevant sectors. Willingness to travel as necessary for the role. About APTIM:
