About the Job & Requirements:
The role of a Ride Control Systems Engineer is to design, develop and implement control systems for various ride systems. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of control processors, components, and communication networks. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conceiving, designing and delivering control systems for complex ride systems and related equipment. You will work closely with other design and engineering professionals to implement these systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage entire scope to conceive, design, and deliver control systems for a wide variety of complex and innovative ride systems and related equipment. Conduct systems engineering for ride control systems, including defining system use cases and user needs, developing and capturing requirements and functional specifications in documents, drawings, and models, ensuring compliance with control system safety standards. Perform engineering design and analysis for ride control systems, including developing control strategies and algorithms, researching new products, technologies, and methodologies, designing, modeling, and analyzing control systems, data communication, and dynamic systems. Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: Extensive experience in fail-safe and safety-related control system design. Highly proficient in industrial control system installation, integration, and commissioning. Solid understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT. Demonstrated practice in functional safety standards, including IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849. Familiarity with amusement and automation industry standards, including ASTM F2291.
