We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Data Engineering Architect to lead our data engineering team in designing and developing powerful data solutions at PepsiCo. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data architecture to support various business domains including revenue management, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics, all within a hybrid environment that includes both in-house and cloud data sources. Key Responsibilities: Act as a trusted advisor to our senior leadership, offering insights to enhance team dynamics and system resilience. Define and implement the strategic architecture for our enterprise data engineering platform, aligning with our business goals and digital transformation objectives. Lead the selection and scaling of modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure Synapse, Kafka) integral to our Enterprise Data Foundation. Establish robust data security frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulations such as SOX. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and standardize data assets and services. Mentor our engineering teams on best practices in optimization, performance tuning, and reliability. Create and maintain architectural standards and reusable patterns for data ingestion, modeling, quality, and access control. Develop and deploy advanced AI systems that utilize intelligent agents and large language models (LLMs). Build and implement knowledge graphs and vector databases to support AI-driven solutions. Optimize cloud resources for enhanced processing efficiency of AI models. Design APIs and microservices that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems and third-party services. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of data solutions and models. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse, non-technical audiences. Qualifications: 12+ years of experience in strategy, innovation, or leadership roles, with a minimum of 3 years in developing Agentic AI solutions. Strong proficiency in Python, Databricks, Azure Data services, and Azure AI Services. Experience with Vector Databases, SQL, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph. Familiarity with large language models and AI tools such as OpenAI, Claude, and Llama. Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. A proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving transformational change. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. A Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field. Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $118,700 - $198,800, depending on various factors including experience and location. In addition to a competitive salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support you and your family, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
