Platform Infrastructure Specialist - Secret Clearance Required

We are looking for a talented and experienced Platform Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this integral role, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of various platforms that support a variety of applications. Your efforts will focus on collaboration with cross-functional teams and overseeing technical architecture while delivering robust and scalable solutions.
Please note:
This is an on-site position that requires a Secret Clearance. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and enhance system performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Manage and maintain application integration using modern networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls. Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Develop and maintain security incident response plans and protocols. Create automation scripts and tools to streamline platform deployments and management tasks. Deploy and manage systems utilizing VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT. Manage and configure host-based security systems effectively. Apply DevOps methodologies and tools to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers. Utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and SolarWinds. Patch and manage systems through Red Hat Satellite Server. Provide hardware support for both servers and workstations. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is advantageous, but not mandatory. Minimum Requirements: 12+ years of relevant experience. 4+ years of experience with OpenShift. Proficiency in containerization (Docker or Kubernetes), RHEL administration, VMware, Ansible, Terraform, security compliance, and infrastructure monitoring. Active Secret clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship without dual citizenship required due to federal regulations. This position is based in Annapolis Junction, MD and necessitates on-site presence five days a week. Must reside within a commutable distance. Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is mandatory. A proactive team player with the ability to work independently to support mission-critical operations across geographically diverse locations. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary. Annual salary ranges from $120,000.00 to $150,000.00, based on various factors including location, candidate's experience, and other market conditions. Our total compensation package includes health insurance, retirement savings plans, paid holidays, and paid time off, among other benefits.
