As an IT Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of essential IT infrastructure within our manufacturing and business environments. Your role will ensure systems are secure, stable, and aligned with organizational needs, while providing support for end users and gaining exposure to diverse IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and demonstrate commitment to environmental health and safety principles.
Monitor and maintain Windows and Linux environments, assisting with VMware virtualization platforms.
Provide daily support for HP server hardware and manage network devices including HPE Aruba switches.
Respond to and resolve Service Desk tickets for systems, user access, hardware, and software issues.
Assist in system updates, patches, and configurations to enhance performance and security.
Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration tasks.
Participate in infrastructure monitoring and alert response to maintain system uptime.
Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to minimize disruptions to production operations.
Document technical procedures and recurring issues for knowledge sharing.
Engage in routine cybersecurity practices including patching and access audits.
Maintain a secure data center environment under guidance from senior staff.
Support project implementation tasks and learn from experienced engineers.
Contribute to the company’s efforts to enhance Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
Embody the company’s standards for integrity, safety, and a positive work environment.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 3-5 years of IT support or systems administration experience, ideally in a Windows or hybrid environment.
Basic understanding of virtualization, networking, and server infrastructure.
Experience in supporting end users through ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Familiarity with Office 365 administration and Microsoft Active Directory.
A quick learner with the capacity to adapt in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and continuous learning.
Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the year, including air travel.
Preferred:
Exposure to VMware, Palo Alto firewalls, cloud platforms (like Azure or AWS), or scripting (such as PowerShell).
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial IT environment.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles or regulatory frameworks (e.g., CMMC, NIST).
A willingness to pursue industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco).
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, and bend throughout the workday.
Capability to work in a manufacturing environment and around machinery with exposure to noise, chemicals, and equipment.
Must adhere to Personal Protection Equipment requirements as mandated by company policy.
