You'll play a crucial role in advancing the capabilities of Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality technologies at Meta. Your contributions will help create connections and immersive experiences for users worldwide. Key Responsibilities: Lead and define the technical vision for your team, driving efficiency and innovation across the organization. Design, develop, and optimize real-time computer vision algorithms focusing on 3D reconstruction, SLAM, object detection, and more. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make architectural decisions that enhance software solutions. Develop software for cutting-edge consumer devices, including novel sensing, tracking, and haptic systems. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly, ensuring the team understands objectives and challenges. Write clean, maintainable code and troubleshoot complex system-wide issues efficiently. Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, embracing challenges in the AR/VR landscape. Understand and evaluate industry trends to identify and develop new technological opportunities. Work closely with leadership to enhance team performance and influence staffing and prioritization of new initiatives. Minimum Qualifications: Proven experience leading impactful projects within the industry. Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration. Track record of planning and executing multi-year roadmaps that align with long-term visions. Experience in steering large engineering projects that span multiple teams. Significant experience mentoring and influencing engineers across various functions. Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the role. Extensive background in fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, or 3D graphics. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. Expertise in relevant areas such as Physics, Optics, Robotics, or Sensor Fusion.
