Senior Application Security Architect

As a Senior Application Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in guiding one of our key applications. You will collaborate closely with team leaders and individual contributors to make prioritized security recommendations and translate compliance requirements into actionable steps. Your Responsibilities: Work with senior security leaders to enhance the maturity and depth of security controls. Engage with Development and Security Engineering leadership on a daily basis to discuss security-related requests, including architectural feedback and vulnerability remediation. Facilitate quarterly planning discussions, prioritizing security initiatives. Document security control processes clearly to enable development teams to work more efficiently. Conduct secure code reviews and review application architecture with development teams. Lead security and threat model reviews and provide expertise in application security topics. Drive new projects to bolster security within our environment, collaborating with various teams. What You Need to Succeed: A humble demeanor and a strong programming background in .NET Classic and Python, with experience in data-intensive applications. Deep expertise in Application and Cloud security, providing architectural reviews and guidance. A solid understanding of security controls related to compliance standards and practical risk reduction. Ability to articulate the role of security in partnership with development teams throughout project lifecycles. A collaborative approach, with a focus on delivering results quickly while reducing dependencies. A minimum of 6 years of experience in architectural and threat modeling reviews. Experience with compliance standards is essential. What Helps You Stand Out: A reputation as a security controls expert among development teams, delivering dependable guidance. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $184,000-$230,000 USD. Note that certain client requirements may necessitate post-offer health screenings and vaccinations. Exemptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
