Job Title: Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) Customer: PM STORM Work Location: Redstone Arsenal - Building 111 / Phased n Research - Huntsville, Alabama Position Summary: Phased n Research, in support of PM STORM and as a subcontractor to S³, is seeking a highly qualified Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide mission-critical cybersecurity support. The selected candidate will play a key role in requirements analysis, Clinger Cohen Act assessments, cyber risk mitigation strategies, and cybersecurity planning across multiple high-profile defense programs. This position focuses on penetration testing of operational weapon systems and then identifying solutions to address the identified risk factors. Key Responsibilities: Define and analyze cybersecurity requirements in alignment with DoD acquisition strategies. Support and lead Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) assessments. Develop and implement mitigation strategies for cybersecurity findings and vulnerabilities. Provide SME/Trusted Agent support for adversarial assessments (AA) and cooperative vulnerability and penetration assessments (CVPA). Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and readiness. Maintain detailed documentation and reporting to support program milestones and accreditation. Recent Project Accomplishments (Option Year 1): Led CVPA for the M270A2 Common Fire Control System (CFCS). Served as Trusted Agent/SME for Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Adversarial Assessment. Supported CFCS Adversarial Assessment as SME. These efforts are part of Phased n's strategic expansion into the cybersecurity and risk management sector, establishing a strong reputation and building credibility in a critical capability area. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or a related field Minimum of 23 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or information assurance, preferably within DoD environments. Experience with penetration testing, red teaming, and vulnerability assessments Proven experience supporting DoD cyber assessments, including CVPA and AA. Strong understanding of cybersecurity policy, RMF, and DoD acquisition processes. Active DoD clearance (Secret or higher required). Why Join Us?
