Overview
GovCIO is seeking a skilled Lead Network Security Engineer with an active Secret clearance to devise and oversee advanced IT security programs and policies. Join us in crafting innovative solutions to enhance security frameworks and provide robust support to government agencies.
Responsibilities
Design and coordinate comprehensive IT security programs and policies.
Oversee and evaluate system modifications, assessing security implications of relevant changes.
Conduct security testing for code modifications and prepare/review essential documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and Certification and Accreditation packages.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for disaster recovery (DR) contingency planning.
Produce in-depth IT Security evaluations based on audit findings.
Assist in the creation, management, and closure of Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and develop security guidelines for both new and existing networks as required.
Perform detailed IT Security analysis by reviewing all System Change Requests (SCR) and vulnerability scan reports, collaborating with technical SMEs to formulate and monitor remediation plans.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant network security experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
Active Secret Clearance Required, plus the ability to obtain and maintain DEA suitability.
