The Consumer Product Group is dedicated to ensuring that the Coinbase retail app delivers an effortless and rapid access to crypto. Our 2024 mission is to become the leading self-custody wallet in terms of monthly active users (MAUs) and download share, paving the way for the future of web3 and Coinbase. Your Responsibilities: Develop new services that address critical product and business requirements using Golang. Design scalable systems that tackle unique challenges, leveraging modern cloud solutions and industry best practices. Craft a long-term strategy for maintaining and enhancing our backend systems and overseeing the teams that manage them. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leaders to convert our product and technical vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps. Write high-quality, thoroughly tested code that serves our customers' needs. What We Expect From You: A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience. Extensive knowledge in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with expertise in service-oriented architecture. Commitment to producing high-quality, well-tested code for customer satisfaction. A strong enthusiasm for creating an open financial system that connects people globally. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a rapidly growing company (from startup to mid-size). Background in growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks. Familiarity with blockchain technology including Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Experience in breaking down a large monolithic application into microservices. Proficiency in Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB. Experience building financial, high-reliability, or security-focused systems. Knowledge of crypto technologies, including engagement with Ethereum activities, using ENS, and interacting with dApps or blockchain-based services. Pay Transparency Notice:

Based on your work location, the target annual salary ranges from $186,005 to $218,900. In addition, full-time offers from Coinbase include a target bonus, target equity, and a robust benefits package – including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.
