As a Senior Software Development Engineer specializing in Bluetooth, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceptualize and develop innovative consumer products. Your broad responsibilities will encompass everything from application development to device frameworks, connectivity stacks, drivers, and low-level wireless controller algorithms. You'll also have the opportunity to enhance connectivity solutions across all Amazon devices, including Kindle, Fire TV, Echo, and various IoT Smart Home solutions, as well as mobile applications. Key Responsibilities: Work with product management and teams to design technical solutions that enhance user experiences. Implement key Bluetooth metrics for monitoring KPIs, error logs, and usage statistics, while developing debug tools to optimize our solutions. Provide test recommendations and tools for QA, hardware, and factory teams. Develop a high-quality Bluetooth stack, middleware framework, and application features. Implement mobile applications to facilitate communication with Amazon devices via Bluetooth. Collaborate across teams to enhance existing drivers, stacks, and applications. Optimize the memory footprint and enhance the performance of driver, stack, and application code. Occasionally travel internationally as required. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software programming language. 5+ years of experience in design or architecture, focusing on reliability and scaling. Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
