We are seeking an innovative and skilled

Embedded Software Engineer

to join our Project Kuiper team, focused on developing cutting-edge technology for our optical inter-satellite link (ISL) systems. This initiative aims to deploy a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide high-speed, low-latency broadband connectivity to underserved communities globally. As part of your role, you will: Develop embedded software using C/C++/Rust and assembly for RTOS and bare-metal environments. Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance. Create highly reliable embedded software, covering everything from low-level control to flight management applications. Collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineers to assist in board bring-up and control algorithm design. In this role, you will also identify top-level requirements and ensure that high-quality, innovative designs are implemented, while assisting team members with the review and enhancement of embedded system designs. The ideal candidate will possess: 3+ years of professional software development experience. 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems. Proficiency in programming with at least one software language. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience throughout the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
