Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts based on project artifacts, including business, functional, and non-functional requirements provided by development and business teams.
Perform data validation through SQL queries and various tools.
Track and report defects, linking them to the respective development life cycles of the project.
Work closely with project and solutions teams to develop and enforce high-quality standards.
Verify the functional capabilities of final products and solutions.
Assess stability and performance, including response times, of final products and solutions.
Participate actively in defect triage calls.
Maintain and update daily and weekly QA status reports and metrics.
Proactively raise, escalate, and communicate quality issues effectively.
Stay open to learning new technologies, tools, and applications to support business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of testing experience.
Experience in functional testing techniques such as system acceptance and regression testing.
Familiarity with automation and performance testing tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office products, along with defect tracking tools.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with other teams.
Experience with various testing life cycles, including system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
Understanding of testing methodologies relevant to the development life cycle.
Ability to work independently and effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in the retail domain.
Familiarity with VBScript and automated testing tools, such as Quick Test Professional.
Experience with Agile project processes.
Testing experience with applications running on iSeries.
