Join us as a skilled Data Center Operations Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this essential role, you will serve as a technical expert and team leader within our data centers, focusing on ensuring their availability and reliability to meet and exceed defined service levels.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center.
Utilizing your expertise to troubleshoot and manage mission-critical facility equipment including backup diesel generators, UPS systems, PDUs, chillers, and fire suppression systems.
Leading a dedicated team of engineering technicians, promoting their development, and ensuring high-quality work standards.
Managing operational budgets effectively and collaborating with third-party vendors to uphold contractual SLAs.
Responding to after-hours issues, driving problem resolution, and ensuring operational continuity.
As a Data Center Operations Manager, you will also:

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience and at least 5 years in a management role with direct reports, particularly within data centers focusing on electrical and mechanical systems.
