What You'll Do:
Lead the design and implementation of innovative front-end features for Zappos.com, enhancing the online shopping journey.
Architect scalable solutions to efficiently manage our vast product catalog and accommodate high traffic volumes.
Collaborate closely with UX/UI teams to bring our brand's design to life.
Optimize website performance for fast load times and smooth user interactions.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to fostering a culture of learning and growth.
About Our Team:
The Front-End Engineering team at Zappos consists of talented, high-output engineers dedicated to creating an exceptional ecommerce experience. Our engineers work on impactful projects that reach millions of users, leveraging the latest technologies.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of professional experience in front-end, web, or mobile software development with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
Understanding of software engineering best practices and the full software development life cycle.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Expert-level proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem.
Strong experience with Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation.
Advanced knowledge of TypeScript in large-scale e-commerce applications.
Experience with state management in complex applications (e.g., Redux, MobX, or Recoil).
Proficiency in responsive web design to ensure a consistent experience across all devices.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

The base pay ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market to $223,600/year in our highest.
