Position Overview As the Senior Manager of Cloud Security, you will lead a highly skilled technical team focused on establishing and enhancing Datavant's cloud security program. Your leadership will be crucial in fortifying our cloud infrastructure's security and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to implement effective security controls. Key Responsibilities Apply your deep AWS expertise to help Datavant make informed choices among various AWS products, ensuring the security and efficacy of our cloud environment. Advocate for secure continuous development and work collaboratively with team members as Datavant progresses in its security maturity. Provide insights on secure network controls, cloud networking design paradigms, overlay networks, and WAF implementation. Utilize your strong experience in containerization and the security of Kubernetes clusters. Engage directly with senior leadership on security to guarantee the maturity, effectiveness, and coverage of security controls. Review developments in our cloud infrastructure through pull request evaluations to ensure the delivery of secure code with your risk-evaluation skills. Bring an engineering mindset to the team, working with DevOps peers to integrate practical security measures into the SDLC and AWS. Lead new projects aimed at advancing security within our infrastructure, serving as the technical expert who collaborates on project success. Qualifications for Success Demonstrated experience leading cloud security teams with a strong ability to mentor and inspire technical talent. Deep understanding of AWS security with a history of delivering secure and scalable cloud solutions. Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), secure development lifecycle (SDLC), and DevSecOps principles. Excellent collaboration and communication skills for influencing stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams. A minimum of 5 years in cloud security, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in regulated industries like healthcare, and familiarity with frameworks such as FEDRAMP, HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2 is preferred. Preferred Skills Experience securing cloud environments beyond AWS. Hands-on experience in implementing a centralized WAF program. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $224,000-$250,000 USD.
