Software Developer

to enhance our missile defense projects within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. In this role, you will play a critical part in Agile Software Development, crafting and modifying computer applications and specialized utility programs while analyzing user needs to develop effective software solutions. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Conducting software development tasks using C++, Java or similar languages, including design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging. Working with a collaborative team to enhance existing software and incorporate new capabilities. Applying sound software engineering principles to ensure high-quality code that is modifiable, efficient, and reliable. Creating and managing automated software builds and pipelines in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment. Actively participating in agile team ceremonies such as planning, development, and retrospectives. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience. Proficient in C++. Familiarity with GitLab/Git for software configuration management. Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS. Knowledge of networking programming including UDP and TCP/IP interfaces. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have an active secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. Full-time onsite support required. Residents of the North Alabama area preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of Agile methodologies, preferably the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Experience in developing or supporting CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins). Familiarity with Python or Java in user interface development. Knowledge of Jira or similar project management tools. Experience with multi-core and multi-threaded programming. Relevant experience in Missile Defense within DoD or industry contexts. Ready to Innovate?

$67,600.00 - $122,200.00 The pay range for this position is intended to provide general guidance and may vary based on several factors such as education, experience, and internal equity.
