The Business Intelligence & Analytics division within Datavant Product is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to enhance our Corporate Cross-Functional Reporting team. This essential team is responsible for developing a scalable and reliable reporting platform that generates consistent, transparent, and actionable insights for our finance, accounting, compliance, and human resources teams. You Will: Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business needs, define analytical requirements, and create analytical strategies that drive informed decision-making. Perform exploratory and targeted analyses employing analytical methods and business context to develop actionable recommendations. Design and implement business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and tools that facilitate operational insight and strategic input. Deliver Impactful BI Solutions: Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of reusable data models and visualizations, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and performance in internal and external reporting. Work closely with data engineering and BI teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and synchronization between source systems and reporting tools. Foster Continuous Improvement: Contribute to automating recurring analytical processes, minimizing manual reporting while enhancing turnaround time for business users. Support the team's growth by mentoring colleagues, documenting solutions, and spearheading process enhancements. Stay updated on industry best practices related to data visualization, BI tools, and analytical methods to continually strengthen team capabilities. What You Bring: Technical Expertise: Excellent skills in statistical analysis and proficiency with programming languages such as SQL and Python for data analysis and modeling. Ability to create clear and engaging visualizations tailored to different audiences using tools like Sigma, Power BI, or Tableau. Business Acumen & Communication: A proven track record of crafting persuasive, data-driven narratives that influence strategy and decision-making. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Experience managing time effectively and prioritizing responsibilities to meet challenging deadlines. Mindset & Experience: A proactive attitude with an ability to independently solve problems, ask for assistance when needed, and embrace challenges amid ambiguity. Experience successfully collaborating during times of change, maintaining customer focus, ownership, and decisiveness. At least 6 years of relevant experience in data analytics or a related field. Bonus Points if You Have: Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or high-growth environments, specifically related to the release of information (ROI) or data privacy compliance. Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices, including key regulations like HIPAA. Familiarity with cloud-based storage and computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience using dbt to establish and maintain data models in a modern analytics framework. A demonstrated ability to introduce structure, best practices, and operational rigor within BI teams in fast-evolving data environments. Exposure to machine learning techniques, including natural language processing or time series forecasting. The estimated total cash compensation for this role ranges from $145,000 to $170,000 USD. This role is not eligible for employment sponsorship.
