Join our innovative team as a Business Intelligence Engineer in the Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazon's Project Kuiper. This project aims to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. We are looking for a dedicated Business Intelligence Engineer who is passionate about technology and data security, enjoys tackling challenges, and demonstrates sound judgment in uncertain situations. Please note that due to applicable export control laws, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with GSC and stakeholder teams to create automated and dynamic reports for external reporting and internal dashboards that track metrics and KPIs. Design, implement, and maintain data infrastructure, including data modeling and ETL pipelines, ensuring ongoing efficiency. Partner with various teams to develop data pipelines utilizing AWS big data technologies such as Lake Formation, Glue, S3, MWAA, and Lambda. Develop automated solutions to improve efficiency and scalability, minimizing manual processes. Assist in establishing key metrics and performance indicators to enhance overall performance and drive continuous improvement. Create self-service reporting platforms and automate processes for large-scale data analysis. Write high-quality queries to retrieve and analyze data for ongoing reporting and ad hoc requests. This position may be based in Bellevue, WA or Arlington, VA. Some travel, both domestic and international, may be required. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in data analysis and interpretation with systems like Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. Proven experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Quicksight. Strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Experience with statistical analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Matlab. Proficient in SQL for data extraction and scripting in Python for data processing. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS solutions, including EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift. Background in data mining, ETL, and working with large-scale complex datasets in a business environment. Experience in large-scale data analytics and understanding of data warehousing principles. Familiarity with system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment. Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis.
