Overview
As a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and defining requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy client needs. You'll develop, maintain, support, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, providing specific input to system design, and adhering to formal design processes and guidelines. You'll design and develop user-friendly interfaces, maintain technical documentation, ensure quality control, select development processes, recommend new technologies, troubleshoot complex issues, and integrate new products with existing applications to improve system functionality and design. Key Responsibilities
Analyze and define technical requirements for complex software systems
Develop and support software and web-based applications using Appian
Design user interfaces and maintain system documentation
Enhance system performance by integrating new features and tools
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
Collaborate with government customers to gather and address feedback
Work in a secure Linux high-side development environment
Required Skills
Active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph
Java and Python development (any level of experience)
Appian development experience (minimum 2 years)
Backend database experience with MongoDB or PostgreSQL
Experience working in high-side Linux environments
Experience with cloud technologies
Skilled in communications with government customers
Familiarity with DIA engineering environments
Ability to develop sustainable software processes
Experience capturing and incorporating user feedback
Preferred Skills
FIDOS-X experience
Experience engineering federal agency processes using Appian
