The schedule allows flexibility, allowing physicians to work 48 hours with a required minimum 12-hour break, though many opt for a 24-hour break.

Responsibilities:

  • Inpatient Care:

    • Admit and manage their own ED patients.
    • Conduct rounds on admitted patients.
    • Handle patient discharges.

  • Hospital Setting:

    • Work in small rural hospitals, managing a range of cases, with a focus on providing comprehensive emergency care.
Compensation and Benefits:

  • Independent Contractor (IC) Status:

    • As an Independent Contractor group, there are no traditional benefits provided.

  • Part-Time Benefits:

    • Receive meeting pay and holiday pay at time and a half for holidays worked.

  • Full-Time Opportunities:

    • Full-time equivalent is considered at least 144 hours per month.
    • For full-time positions, an additional $2000.00/year is offered for completed CME hours in Trauma and Pediatrics.
