**Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour**
Shadow Hills Pet Clinic
is looking for an
experienced veterinary assistant . Shadow Hills Pet Clinic is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in beautiful Sun Valley, California. Our goal is to provide compassionate and quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family.
The ideal candidate would be compassionate towards our patients and clients. Be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, monitoring surgery patients, surgical recovery, drawing blood and running bloodwork, placing IV catheters, knowledge of x-ray and proper positioning, experience with in-clinic laboratory equipment, comfortable with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education and is a positive and supportive team player. A positive and motivating attitude is a must. If you are that

Shadow Hills Pet Clinic
Requirements: 2-3 years of prior
veterinary experience in a clinical setting Surgical assisting experience Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories TPR Assisting the doctor and other technical staff with restraint Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular) Placing IV catheters Digital radiology, including positioning. Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing) Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique) Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue Excellent client communication & education CSR duties as assigned Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT)
preferred

eligibility
to obtain licensure based on state requirements. Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
preferred but not required. Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records. Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
