12 Months Responsibilities: Maintain & troubleshoot the DAC Aloha network, DNCS, and Guide platforms. Support all applicable Engineering Projects and training sessions for junior technicians. Organize and perform all scheduled maintenance activities. Perform a variety of highly complex analytical duties of Comcasts network including the IP Platform and Video platform. Read and analyze technical references to obtain knowledge of assigned Engineering Operations topics. Identify common operational and technical problems and standard solutions; escalate more complex issues to senior engineers. Possess limited responsibility for the CMTS, including troubleshooting CMTS for issues. Provide surveillance for the network from the hub to the backbone. Monitor VOD run stats and re-groom existing channels. Use all available tools to monitor and isolate outages across all video lines. Write and drive action items for post-mortems on network events to ensure follow-up for all break/fix. Follow scripted M&Ps for break/fix. Act as local liaison to identify, correlate, communicate, and verify customer impact for nationally managed care team events. Provide remote assistance of hardware replacements. Act as the escalation point for advanced services. Work towards industry standard certifications and education. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary. Additional Information
