OConnor Family Law
We are seeking an experienced family law attorney to join our team. One who can passionately and zealously assist clients in navigating through the sensitive legal issues of family law. We focus our practice on high-conflict divorce and custody litigation that includes issues surrounding abuse, manipulation, and control. Having an understanding of how trauma can affect the client as well as the litigation process is just as important as having the ability to apply the facts to the law in issues of custody, child support, division of property, alimony, prenuptial agreements, restraining orders, guardianships, and everything else that comes along with either putting together or taking apart a family unit. The ideal new team member can effectively engage in oral arguments before a Judge just as well as they can negotiate to reach settlement, even in highly stressful and emotional situations. If you are driven by an opportunity to help people during one of the toughest times in their lives and have a proven track record of success, apply now. Responsibilities: • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed Qualifications: • Must hold a license to practice law in Massachusetts and be in good standing • Must have 3+ years of family law litigation experience (if less, ask about our Associate Attorney position) • Must be able to attend court in various counties within Massachusetts • Should live within an approximate hour range from either Westborough or Hanover Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 yearly
