IDEO U is a learning experience and community that helps leaders tap into their creativity and the creativity of others to generate new ideas, creative solutions, and unexpected opportunities now and in the future. early-career Marketing Operations Coordinator

who’s obsessed with detail, thrives on meeting deadlines, and wants to grow from a digital marketing operator into a strategic creative partner. If you’ve ever run a scrappy social campaign, managed emails for a startup or internship, or built a high-performing blog from scratch—this might be a perfect opportunity. In a Nutshell:

The IDEO U Marketing Operations Coordinator will be directly responsible for executing best-in-class email campaigns and streamlining operations across our marketing channels, including web, organic social, email and podcast. You’ll directly impact the bottom line of our business through detail-oriented, meticulous management of our owned channels. This role is ideal for a university social maven, an up-and-coming marketer new to the industry, or an individual with internship level experience around 0-2 years. We’re seeking a teammate who is eager to rapidly learn, grow, and ramp up their career in a creative space that’s committed to lifelong learning—and lifelong learners everywhere! We are especially excited to meet candidates with a passion for learning communities, edtech, or new business ventures using emerging technology in a more human-centered way. This role will work closely with a team spread across the US in 3 time zones, and service a truly global community of learners around the world. While we are happy to provide office space in Chicago, Cambridge, or San Francisco, IDEO U proudly supports remote work. Why IDEO U?

IDEO is a legendary design firm with a 40-year history in the business, and IDEO U is where we teach the next generation of creative leaders. Our learners span 100+ countries and apply what they learn to drive real impact in business, education, healthcare, and beyond. We are small, mighty, and remote. You’ll work with a nimble, friendly team distributed across time zones—committed to great work by design, and supportive of each other’s growth. Once here you will:

Own and execute direct email marketing campaigns to our global learner base, from drafting to QA to final send. Manage and maintain our web content using a CMS (Content Management System) to keep course pages and landing pages accurate and up to date. Support our blog operations, uploading and formatting content, collaborating with our editorial partners, and ensuring a clean, consistent brand experience. Work cross-functionally with marketers, designers, and educators across time zones to support weekly campaigns and product launches. Develop clear SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and improve documentation so your work can scale and evolve. Learn, grow, and iterate as you gain experience with campaign data, customer insights, and long-term strategy. Qualifications / Experience:

A deep love of organization, project management, and process. In other words, the one who color-codes the calendar and double-checks the checklist. A strong sense of ownership and follow-through. We’re seeking self-starters who don’t just complete tasks, but adhere to a rapid-fire weekly schedule and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Deep curiosity about how people engage with content online, our customer community of lifelong learners, and a knack for spinning that curiosity into better campaigns. Ability (or ability to learn) ecommerce & email marketing platforms like HubSpot, Mailchimp, WordPress, Shopify, or similar tools. A self-starter mindset with the humility to learn and the drive to grow. Nice-to-Haves (but not required):

Experience managing email newsletters or automated marketing flows. Exposure to CMS tools or light HTML knowledge. A track record of self-directed learning via certifications, personal / community projects, or workshops. Application Requirements and Instructions:
