About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Publishing for Health Research. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of a large portfolio of proprietary and society journal titles, with a focus on strategic growth in both traditional and Open Access publishing models. This executive role requires a leader with a strong background in STM publishing, capable of driving the expansion of the journal portfolio through new launches, innovation, and strategic acquisitions. The role also involves deepening relationships with academic societies and shaping the long-term vision for the division in line with global trends in medical research and clinical practice. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Publishing include setting and executing growth strategies, leading digital transformation, and ensuring the quality and impact of the journal portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing publishing programs, a deep understanding of global scientific and Open Access markets, and the ability to build and nurture strategic partnerships. Leadership and team development are also critical, as the role involves overseeing a large global team and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. The candidate should be an experienced leader with excellent communication skills, a strong analytic mindset, and the ability to work in a global organization. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
