Executive Assistant

to support the President of a leading nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to provide high-level administrative support to the executive office of a respected organization focused on national and global policy. This position is best suited for a professional who is deeply committed to a long-term career in executive support and thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. The ideal candidate is poised, highly adaptable, and capable of managing shifting priorities with grace and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and coordinate complex scheduling and calendar management for the President and senior leadership. Organize logistics for internal and external meetings, including travel arrangements, materials preparation, room bookings, and hospitality. Support the creation, proofreading, and distribution of board materials, including printed and digital formats. Monitor and manage the President’s email inbox and physical mail with discretion. Draft and send correspondence on behalf of executive leadership. Track action items from meetings and ensure timely follow-up. Manage internal contact lists and information in systems such as Salesforce. Submit expense reports and manage departmental purchases (e.g., Amazon Business account). Handle inbound phone calls and general administrative support for the executive team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required (GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred). 2–5 years of Executive Assistant experience, ideally within the nonprofit sector. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience is a strong plus. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes. Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Demonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism in high-level interactions. Commitment to a long-term career in the Executive Assistant profession. Ability to occasionally support outside of standard business hours as needed. Additional Details: Work Schedule:
