We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in network technologies, strong problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills to mentor junior team members while ensuring optimal network performance and security across our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in networking, VMware, Linux, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, AWS, and Active Directory, with a strong understanding of mobile device management (MDM). Familiarity with VoIP systems is a plus.
Requirements
Essential Functions
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based systems. Develop network topology diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans Manage and optimize VMware environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter. Administer and support Linux-based servers and services. Collaborate with network engineers to ensure secure and efficient network operations. Participate in system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning. Provide tier 3 support and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff. Configure and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless systems Implement network security protocols including VPNs, ACLs, and intrusion prevention systems Establish and maintain WAN/LAN connectivity, including MPLS, SD-WAN, and internet circuits Deploy and manage network monitoring and management tools Implement network security best practices and policies Conduct security assessments and vulnerability remediation Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on threat detection and incident response Oversee Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and security/compliance features. Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, and related identity services. Lead the deployment and management of MDM solutions using Microsoft Intune. Supervisory Responsibilities • This position does have supervisory responsibilities. Required Skills/Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of VMware (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune and MDM strategies, M365 Administration, Active Directory and Group Policy management• Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies Proficiency with network equipment from major vendors (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Arista) Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies Experience with network monitoring tools (DataDog, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and packet analysis Required: 2+ years of hands-on AWS networking experience including VPC design, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and AWS networking services Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS) and hybrid cloud connectivity Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, PowerShell) Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field• 10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience Experience with large-scale enterprise network environments• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification (Preferred) Cloud platform certifications (AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer) (Preferred) Working Conditions
Work is generally performed within an indoor office environment utilizing standard office equipment. General office environment requires frequent sitting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; walking and standing for long periods of time; and lifting of less than 20 pounds. Regular travel outside of the Las Vegas Metropolitan area is not required.
