Sr. Building Automation System Specialist-DC

Required Skills : Performs assigned new construction work, service work, and commissioning. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Responds to warranty and service calls. Generates, loads, and commissions controller programming. Calibrates systems using basic electronic test equipment. Supports engineering submittals to create bill of materials and as-builts. Verifies equipment wiring requirements. Ensures end devices are installed accurately per project documents and manufacturer instructions. Supports subcontractor installation efforts throughout the project. Performs commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices, completing all documentation. Attends project meetings and communicates progress and issues. Communicates effectively with the team on-site. Identifies and communicates roadblocks and potential solutions. Completes administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports, and site documentation. Documents changes and provides information for as-built and graphics generation. Provides technical assistance to other BAS specialists. Validates system functionality and resolves operational issues. Conducts site-specific training for owners/operators. Works with Project Manager on scope changes. Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more and climb ladders. Required Experience : Minimum two-year technical degree in electronics, computers, HVAC, or related field. 7 to 9 years of related field experience with building automation systems, preferably Niagara systems. Intermediate knowledge of programming languages from vendors like Johnson Controls, ALC, Siemens, Distech. Strong understanding of HVAC and building automation systems. Adheres to safety standards and attends safety training. Prioritizes safety for employees and subcontractors. Strong computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment. Ability to build and maintain team relationships.
