Job Description At Relativity Space, we're building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known. Joining Relativity means becoming part of a team where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving unprecedented problems, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you'll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life quickly. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define our shared stories. Now is a unique moment to leave your mark on the product, process, and culture, as Terran R gains momentum. The most meaningful work of your career awaits. Join us. About the Team: The Launch team operates at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. The Cape is the hub where all components come together, offering unmatched exposure and responsibility. This is where first flights happen, where history is made, and where the scale of our work is unlike anything in modern aerospace. As we progress from first launch to reuse and high-cadence operations, if you want to define the future of space launch and innovate beyond existing paradigms, this is your place. About the Role: As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for civil and structural design, engineering, drawings, design documents, and reports for our new launch and test infrastructures. Your role includes managing civil and structural aspects of construction projects, such as RFPs, bidding, evaluations, subcontractor management, and construction oversight. You will coordinate with internal technical teams to define architectural, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial requirements. You will collaborate closely with test & launch team members across infrastructure, fluids, electrical, command & control, mechanical, and support operations during launch and testing. Your support will span procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance phases. About You: Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or related field, with 5+ years of experience in civil structural design within aerospace or construction industries, combining fieldwork and project management. Familiar with AISC steel manual, ACI 318, ASCE 7, and IBC codes. Knowledge of construction procedures, documentation, drawings, bid processes, contractor management, safety, and QA/QC. Experience in project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and overall construction management. Proficiency with 3D modeling tools like NX, AutoCAD, and analysis software such as SAP2000 or ETABS. Ability to drive projects forward, report progress, and adapt to dynamic environments. Nice to haves: 7+ years of civil structural design in aerospace/construction, or licensed P.E., or both. Advanced degrees or training in engineering, construction, operations, or project management. Experience with aerospace facilities, GSE, FEM analysis, and safety procedures. Experience working with government agencies. Note:

Successful candidates must pass a US government background check for on-site work at Cape Canaveral, FL. At Relativity Space, we value transparency and fairness. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Our total rewards include competitive salary and equity, generous PTO, parental leave, learning stipends, and more.
