Associate Attorney Creditors Rights
Location: Remote (Must reside in Fairfax County, VA)
Pay: $75,000 $90,000 annually
Job Summary:
Our regional Creditors Rights law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage legal processes from case initiation through post-judgment remedies. This role requires a strong commitment to high-quality work, effective communication, and personal ownership. Candidates must thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This is a remote role for candidates based in Fairfax County, VA, with an active license to practice law in Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle high-volume litigation caseload across bankruptcy, collections, and civil matters
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
Negotiate case resolutions with opposing counsel
Represent clients in court throughout Virginia as needed
Conduct legal research and assess legal risks and regulatory issues
Collaborate with Managing Attorney on case progress and outcomes
Must Haves / Requirements Summary:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Virginia
0-3 years of experience in civil litigation, collections, or bankruptcy
Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
License to practice law in additional states (GA, SC, TN, FL, MD, MI, OH) or UBE passage
Prior experience in creditors rights law or high-volume caseload management
