About the Role: The Learning and Development Officer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering impactful learning experiences across a variety of formats, including instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced modalities. This particular role is dedicated to supporting the Commercial division, with a focus on training initiatives for Commercial Lending and related business lines. The Officer collaborates closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and coordinate learning content that meets the evolving needs of Commercial audiences. Responsibilities include applying instructional design methodologies, managing content through its full lifecycle, and evaluating program effectiveness. The role also contributes to enterprise learning initiatives and may mentor peers within the L&D team. Areas of expertise for this position may include commercial credit, lending products, relationship management, regulatory compliance, and systems training (e.g., nCino ). Facilitate learning and development programs with a focus on Commercial Banking audiences. Design and deliver e-learning, virtual, and instructor-led training using a variety of tools, platforms, and equipment . Develop and enhance learning materials such as facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, and assessments . Apply instructional design methodologies and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assess and address learning needs specific to Commercial roles. Support and contribute to learning and development projects and strategic initiatives across the organization. Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to schedule sessions, manage content, and track participation and completion. Ensure training content remains accurate and up to date with current policies, procedures, systems, and regulatory requirements relevant to Commercial Banking. Stay informed on learning and development trends, with an emphasis on practical application, learner engagement, and emerging technologies. Demonstrate compliance with all company policies and complete required training. Maintain awareness of applicable regulations and internal policies. Coach, mentor, or train others and serve as a subject matter expert in assigned content areas. Actively model and promote the company’s culture and values in all interactions. Take initiative and serve as a positive role model for peers and learners. Perform other duties as assigned. About You: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/certification , required. Demonstrated knowledge of Commercial Lending concepts, processes, and systems. Experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related field. Experience with e-learning authoring tools, virtual design and delivery software, and Learning Management Systems. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including Commercial Banking leadership and subject matter experts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex Commercial concepts into accessible learning content. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, business-driven environment . Proficiency in instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Rapid), with experience applying them to Commercial Banking training needs. Skilled in virtual design and delivery platforms (e.g., WebEx , Microsoft Teams). Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360) to create engaging, scalable content. Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Office suite, and project management tools to support training operations. Effective facilitation skills for classroom, webinar, and virtual learning events, with a focus on Commercial Banking topics such as lending, credit, and relationship management. Ability to adapt quickly and deliver high-quality learning experiences in a customer-focused, results-oriented Commercial environment. The pay range for this role is $8 0,000 - $110,000 , and the pay rate for the selected candidate is depend ent up on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
