The Student Success Data Analyst will support the work of the Data Strategist for Student Success Analytics to manage the accurate collection, analysis, operationalization, and dissemination of student success data and analyses to a variety of stakeholders. This role will work specifically on a federal grant-funded project, Technology Enhanced Academic Communication to Help in Math and English (TEACH ME).
Job Duties
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assisting in producing the operational data necessary to develop, execute, and evaluate processes and initiatives designed to foster student success and retention, including retrieving data from information technology database systems and using statistical, spreadsheet, and presentation applications to analyze, synthesize, and present data. Providing direct support for the TEACH ME project’s use of assessment planning and management software, including entry of outcomes and standards, collecting data and artifacts, and analyzing and reporting on outcomes. Planning and designing research projects and surveys related to the TEACH ME project and in cooperation with EMASS divisional and unit leadership, and with areas such as Institutional Research, Academic Affairs, and others, as directed. Presenting data in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders, including senior divisional and university leadership, to support data-driven decision making, strategic planning, enrollment management, target marketing, resource development, and department, school/college, division, and university-wide process improvement. Coordinating the design, development, execution, and reporting of primary research on the TEACH ME project, working collaboratively with divisional leadership across the institution. Working with other campus data managers to assist in the understanding of complex information to assist in developing actionable insights directly supporting the TEACH ME project, as well as the broader programs and initiatives associated with student success.
Requested Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
