Summary
The
Sr. Production Manager
will be responsible for managing daily operations on the production floor.
Overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, within budget, and to the required quality standards.They are also responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling production activities to meet deadlines and production goals. Responsibilities Ensure strict compliance with all safety standards and OSHA regulations with regards to training, the wearing of PPE, etc. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Prioritize and plan daily workflow based upon business requirements and goals set. Developing production schedules, resource allocation, and ensuring that materials and equipment are available when needed. Assisting and helping to Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement. As well as assigning implementing strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity. Assisting monitoring and controlling production costs, including labor, materials and equipment and implementing cost savings measures. Oversee daily production and assist in all stages. On occasion, assists workers and performs any of the operations supervised to maintain the production goals. Ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency in production. Hire and train new Production employees, ensuring the orientation and proper training of all new workers by demonstrating and explaining operating techniques to improve production and maintain workflow. Ensure adequate performance management of all employees including coaching, counseling, discipline in a timely manner, resolve any Production personnel problems with the support of Human Resources. Reviews schedules and workflow to control overtime, manage labor costs. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience or 5 years of practical work experience, food/fruit background preferred. Organized, paying great attention to details. Bilingual English & Spanish. Must read, speak, and write in English & Spanish Flexible schedule including days/nights, weekends, and holidays. Basic Computer Skills Solid organizational, leadership, verbal, and written communication skills
