The Credit Portfolio Officer is a senior-level position responsible for leading activities including credit review, credit approvals, and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to manage Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally. Develop, install, and maintain Acquisitions and/or Existing Customer Management (ECM) credit policy recommendations.
Simulate existing credit policy and potential future changes to credit policy for quality control and analysis opportunities.
Develop and utilize analytical tools to create models and decision trees to identify drivers of credit variability and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities include:
Developing a framework for portfolio risk assessment, including evaluation of credit and financial performance across various lending products and industry segments.
Understanding applicable credit policies, industry regulations, and their impact on new partnerships or product initiatives.
Establishing and leveraging cross-functional partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Utilizing SAS in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial, and data analyses such as profiling, sampling, forecasting, and due diligence for new programs.
Preparing risk management presentations for senior management, highlighting expected portfolio performance and potential risks or opportunities.
Operating with limited supervision, exercising independent judgment, and acting as SME to stakeholders.
Assessing risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance, and escalating control issues transparently.
Qualifications include 6-10 years of experience in credit card risk management or equivalent, with proven ability to apply credit and risk principles, synthesize information, prioritize tasks, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's preferred.
The role is based in Wilmington, Delaware, with a salary range of $114,720 to $172,080. Citi offers comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, 401(k), insurance, wellness programs, and paid time off.
