Software Engineer VI

will work with technical teams to create software solutions that utilize prevailing technologies to enhance customer experience while meeting business and technical requirements. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems to support business initiatives. WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER VI ENJOYS MOST Supporting efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Participating in the design of dependent systems, e.g., APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines. Designing and implementing new functionality that is testable and performant independently. Determining methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinating activities of other personnel. Understanding the technical organization's vision and goals to aid in creating the organization's roadmap. Analyzing and evaluating market products, identifying their pros and cons. Staying updated on technical and industry standards. Developing software independently to overcome roadblocks and assessing their impact on the roadmap. Triaging defects and leading root cause analysis activities. Resolving system integration issues. Leading triage of critical production issues and managing hotfixes. Prioritizing work effectively to deliver multiple tasks on time. Closing technical debts and visualizing technology roadmaps. Providing Level of Effort (LOE) estimates on multiple projects or features. Creating technical requirements and design documentation. Managing release branches and deployment artifacts. Enforcing code standards and best practices. Identifying performance improvements and enhancing application scalability, resilience, and high availability. Collaborating across teams to solve technical problems. Presenting projects to senior leadership and the business. Mentoring junior developers and participating in hiring processes. Building effective relationships within and outside the team. Providing technical consulting and acting as a subject matter expert. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM Required Qualifications Experience in database management systems, coding, testing, and software development methodologies (4-6+ years). Education: BA/BS in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience. Technical skills: Knowledge of major programming languages, coding syntax, design patterns, environment management, containerization, and cloud-native development. Skills: Proficiency in programming, system integration, design patterns, microservices, SOA, and production operations. Abilities: Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Preferred Skills Experience in telecom, Salesforce (LWC, SFDC, APIs, Data Migration, Integration), and Agile methodologies.
