Join our Marketing Team as an Events Specialist located in our Atlanta office.

This role will be based in our Atlanta Office, on an in-office basis and will work directly with the firmwide Marketing team. This role is a critical contributor to a high-performing team responsible for planning and executing internal and client-facing events.
This role reports to the Events Manager.
Position Summary
The Events Specialist collaborates closely with the Events Manager on firm-wide and office-specific strategy while independently owning and managing events from concept through completion. This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both creative flair and logistical expertise to every event they touch.
Duties & Responsibilities
Partners with the Events Manager to plan, implement, and execute marketing and business development events
Independently leads the execution of assigned events, assuming full ownership of timelines, logistics, communication, and on-site execution
Acts as the main point of contact for attorneys, clients, vendors, and professional staff, ensuring clear communication, goal alignment, and seamless coordination. Supports strategic planning by helping define event goals and translating them into actionable plans
Supports event-related deliverables for sponsorships, including ensuring benefits and contractual obligations (such as speakers, signage, materials, giveaways) are fully realized
Sources venues and vendors that align with event objectives, negotiating competitive pricing and managing vendor relationships
Tracks and reports event budgets, ensuring accuracy and fiscal accountability
Collaborates on the development of event messaging and materials, including invitations, programs, signage, and follow-up communications
Utilizes event management software for invitations, RSVP tracking, and manage attendee data
Represents the firm with professionalism and polish during event registration, guest engagement, and co-host/speaker logistics
Collaborates with marketing, talent services, and other business professionals throughout the firm across functions and teams.
Supports event staffing by scheduling, supervising and training on-site staff to ensure seamless event delivery
Manages inventory and procurement of branded promotional materials
Provides white-glove support for attorney-hosted client dinners and engagements, including venue selection, menus, décor and overall event curation
Provides support on broader department initiatives and special projects with a strong sense of ownership and autonomy on individual assignments

Education & Prior Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on event planning experience, with a demonstrated track record in a professional setting
Prior experience in a law firm, hospitality, or professional services environment preferred
Technology
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as event-management software (e.g., Concep) with ability to quickly learn new tools
Familiarity with webinar platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, GoTo, etc.)
