This role is suited for a senior legal professional with a portable book of business, aiming to join a dynamic team advising a diverse range of clients, including investment funds, founders, and private companies. Duties: Lead representation of buyers and sellers in M&A deals spanning various industries, particularly in lower middle-market and private equity-backed sectors Advise private equity funds, independent sponsors, and emerging managers on acquisitions, fund structuring, and capital raises Draft and negotiate complex transactional documents, including asset and stock purchase agreements, operating and shareholder agreements, and fund documentation Provide strategic guidance on entity formation, governance structures, compliance obligations, and commercial contracting Engage directly with clients such as company founders, family offices, and executive teams to deliver tailored legal solutions Maintain responsibility for managing multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing in M&A and general corporate law Active membership in the New York Bar; admission in New Jersey is advantageous Demonstrated experience advising on private equity transactions; fund formation or structured finance knowledge is a plus Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships, including a portable book of business (minimum $500,000) Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication abilities Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school Certifications: Admission to the New York State Bar (required) Admission to the New Jersey Bar (preferred) Skills: Strong negotiation and documentation capabilities Effective multitasking and project management in deal execution Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and deadline-driven setting Business development acumen and client engagement strategy Job Location: New York City, NY (In-Office) Company info BCG Attorney Search 125 Park Avenue, 25th floor New York New York United States 10017 Phone :
