Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction. 3 years working in complex, matrixed organizations with cross-functional projects. Our team addresses AI challenges aligned with Google Cloud’s mission to bring AI to various industries, focusing on research that maximizes scientific and real-world impact, pushing AI state-of-the-art, and collaborating with product teams to bring innovations to customers. The US base salary range for this full-time role is $197,000-$291,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details will be shared during hiring. Responsibilities

Build user-facing components and interfaces for the Agent API, enabling users to design and manage AI agents, with rapid prototyping and full-stack development. Develop core functionalities for multi-agent orchestration, real-time data analysis, and autonomous tool use, allowing agents to reason over and act on enterprise data. Ensure transparency and trustworthiness of agent actions through monitoring, logging, and explainability features, collaborating with Google DeepMind and other teams. Explore and implement new AI/ML technologies to solve ambiguous problems with high reliability and performance.
