Essential Functions:

Direct facilities operations for both JACK Cleveland Casino and The Higbee Building, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and service excellence. Manage daily operations and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) Lead a team of facility staff, including engineers, technicians, and groundskeepers Provide leadership and direction to facilities team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and operational support. Leads and/or supports construction, renovation and preventative maintenance efforts. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, capital projects, and renovations. Oversee the annual operating budgets for each assigned location and provide leadership with sufficient analysis and insight to understand the common and unique maintenance, repair and staffing needs of each building. Responsible for the daily accounting for each assigned location to ensure expenses are consistent with the approved budget. Receive, review, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies. Maintain service contracts and vendor agreements related to administrative services, facilities, vending, and catering. Develop project plans with timelines and deliverables clearly defined. Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs; ensure that all equipment and systems are in good working order Manage all major repairs, replacements, and capital improvement projects, including budgeting, contractor solicitation, bid review, and project oversight. Monitors all engineering and maintenance activities to ensure all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls are adhered to and enforced. Maintains the Fire Emergency Organization Manual and ensures that entire Facilities Team is trained in its implementation. Ensure implementation and audit of inventory and cost control systems and procedures. Apply Lean principles/techniques (i.e. apply countermeasures for waste, daily visual management and supports kaizen events) to ensure quality and customer service is continuously improved. Serve as the primary point of contact for existing tenants for The Higbee Building, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner Foster positive relationships with The Higbee Building tenants to enhance satisfaction and retention. Work closely with leadership and business partners (internal and external) to maintain an on-going, in-depth understanding of facilities’ needs and priorities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be able to work independently. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours). Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts. Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel. Respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives. Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and/or on-the-job training. Minimum 5 years of progressive facilities management experience required. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in the casino industry and in a multi-site environment. Strong knowledge of regulatory codes and compliance standards (JCAHO, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, etc.). Must be at least 21 years of age.

Required Certification/License

Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.
