1st Shift Technician (Assembly Setup)

IMS Gear is looking for a
Technician , based in Gainesville, Georgia, to be responsible for preparing, adjusting, and maintaining production equipment to ensure it operates at peak performance. This role sets up machinery, performs preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots equipment used in the manufacturing process. The Technician ensures all machines comply with operational, quality, and safety standards, play a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting consistent, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting up and configuring assembly lines by installing and adjusting machinery, tooling, and equipment according to specifications and production requirements. Perform quality checks to ensure that all components and assemblies meet quality standards and are functioning under normal operating conditions. Make timely adjustments and repairs to ensure that machinery and equipment meets operational specifications and tolerances. Work with and communicate effectively with other technicians, engineers, and production staff to ensure smooth production operations. What We Are Looking For:
Strong mechanical aptitude Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions Good written and verbal communication skills Strong logical hands-on problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., continuous walking and standing for long periods Minimum of 3-years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility
