Job Title: Supply Chain Manager Reports to: Chief Financial Officer/Senior Superintendent Department: Procurement
Job Summary: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety standards. This role includes managing inventory, coordinating shipments, supervising warehouse staff, and optimizing space and resource utilization. The Supply chain manager will work closely with other departments to meet the company's logistics and operational needs, ensuring timely delivery to clients and contractors.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide training and onboarding for the Inventory Specialist on company procedures, inventory management software, and safety standards Delegate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory tasks, including counting, tracking, and reporting Prioritize tasks based on project timelines, inventory levels, and company needs to ensure the smooth flow of materials for ongoing contracts Monitor the Inventory Specialist's performance in maintaining accurate records, conducting regular audits, and ensuring timely stock replenishments Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set goals for growth and improvement Review and approve inventory documentation, such as stock reports, purchase orders, and inventory adjustments Ensure that the Inventory Specialist follows established processes for receiving, tracking, and issuing materials Address any discrepancies, issues, or delays in the inventory process, working with the Inventory Specialist to find solutions Ensure the Inventory Specialist follows all warehouse safety protocols, especially when handling hazardous materials or heavy equipment Serve as a point of contact for the Inventory Specialist on questions regarding inventory management, project requirements, or warehouse procedures Facilitate collaboration between the Inventory Specialist and other departments, such as procurement, project managers, and site supervisors, to ensure materials are available as needed Duties/ Responsibilities
Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatching of materials and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels Conduct regular inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy Implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies, shrinkage, and overstock Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and conduct performance evaluations to maintain productivity standards Coordinate with suppliers, shipping companies, and contractors to schedule and track incoming and outgoing deliveries Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to job sites to support project timelines Develop and implement operational procedures to improve workflow, organization, and productivity in the warehouse Manage space utilization to optimize storage capacity and streamline the organization of materials Enforce OSHA guidelines and company safety policies to create a safe working environment Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training sessions to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Ensure all employees follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling procedures, especially for hazardous materials Monitor and manage the warehouse budget, including labor costs, inventory expenses, and equipment maintenance Identify cost-saving opportunities through efficient resource allocation, waste reduction, and improved operational processes Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, receiving logs, and warehouse activities Generate and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational efficiency Provide timely updates to management on inventory status, warehouse productivity, and any issues that could impact project timelines Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and contractors to understand project needs and ensure material availability Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate tracking of inventory costs and assist in forecasting materials for future projects Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve any discrepancies, delays, or project-related issues Other duties as assigned Education
High School Diploma or GED required Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is preferred Certifications
OSHA 10/OSHA 30 or ability to obtain Forklift Operator Certification is a plus Licenses

3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics is generally required, with a strong understanding of inventory control, shipping, and receiving Experience in a contracting, construction, or industrial setting is highly preferred 2+ years of supervisory experience overseeing a team of warehouse staff, including roles such as inventory specialists, forklift operators, and general laborers Hands-on experience with inventory management systems and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other warehouse management systems) to maintain accuracy in stock levels, monitor usage rates, and manage reorder points Experience conducting inventory audits, managing cycle counts, and implementing inventory control procedures Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, working with suppliers, and managing relationships with carriers Proven ability to streamline warehouse logistics processes, track shipments, and ensure on-time delivery to support project timelines Experience implementing and enforcing OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety practices to create a safe work environment Familiarity with handling hazardous materials and knowledge of PPE requirements for warehouse operations Experience managing warehouse budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying areas for cost savings Familiarity with tracking costs related to inventory, labor, and equipment maintenance to optimize operational expenses Proven track record of identifying and resolving operational issues, optimizing warehouse layouts, and improving workflows Experience in implementing process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs Required Skills/Abilities
