Chief Engineer -S

Job Details Description The Chief Engineer is responsible for all administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the hotel as they directly relate to the engineering department. The Chief Engineer ensures the safe and profitable operation of the hotel engineering department. Responsibilities include: Approaching all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner and complying with Peachtree Hospitality Management Standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations. Understanding and communicating all department policies and procedures, and enforcing them fairly and consistently. Supervising and training engineering staff in SOPs and Loss Prevention standards. Adhering to the department’s annual budget. Posting engineering staff schedules and monitoring for overtime and schedule changes. Developing and implementing maintenance plans for the property, equipment, grounds, and other assets. Ensuring all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per standards. Handling room maintenance requests promptly and courteously. Following up on alarms to determine their cause, assessing emergency status, and reporting findings to the front desk, taking immediate action as needed. Participating in energy conservation initiatives. Ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Managing vendor contracts controlled by the Engineering department. Assigning daily work orders to engineers and keeping track of them. Checking inventory and maintaining stock of mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment parts. Performing other duties as assigned by management. Attending and conducting training and meetings as required.
