Job Description Turner & Townsend Heery

is seeking a

Senior Project Manager

to oversee Federal construction projects with GSA.

The successful candidate will have experience monitoring construction projects for Federal clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.

Responsibilities:

Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction.

Review status of work completed during the period covered.

Review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.

Review contractors' payment requisitions and budget status.

Review of subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance, change orders, and developer's monthly reports.

Prepare project status reports and recommend the release of construction funds.

Review contract drawings and specifications for completeness and compliance with best practices.

Analyze the Developer's cost budget and coordinate with the Cost Advisory group.

Review and comment on construction and disbursement schedules, permits, surveys, and other documentation.

Prepare Construction Risk Assessment Reports.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in federally funded construction projects, preferably GSA projects over $100 million.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and construction practices.

Ability to read architectural drawings and familiarity with MS Project, contracts, and permits.

Passion for detail orientation and organization.

Education and Experience:

8+ years of project management experience, including significant GSA projects.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Licensure as PE, Architect, or Certified Construction Manager preferred.

Experience with JOC, DB, and E-builder is a plus.
