Senior Manager, Design Construction
to join the Inova Design and Construction team. This is a full-time day shift position, Monday – Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Paid time off and parental leave. Job Responsibilities: Lead and manage construction projects across multiple sites from feasibility to closeout. Hire, train, and manage project teams including Project Managers and Construction Field Representatives; delegate responsibilities and drive performance. Ensure compliance with NFPA, IBC, ICRA, ILSM, VUSBC, and other regulatory standards. Maintain fiscal accountability through budgeting, cost tracking, and monthly variance reports. Review and approve construction documents, change orders, contractor payments, and amendments. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, Inova staff, and regulatory agencies. Manage all phases of construction and design, including zoning, permitting, equipment planning, and infrastructure. Monitor project progress using Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with schedules and milestones. Oversee contractor selection, bid evaluations, and contract awards. Lead project meetings, maintain documentation, and manage open issues and actions. Mentor team members and help develop internal policies for project excellence. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience equivalent to 4 years. Experience: 10 years in construction project management, including at least 6 years managing healthcare facility construction as the Owner's representative. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare or hospital construction.
