MTSI is searching for a senior Program Management and Acquisition Support professional to support the development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions. In this role, you will oversee the development, design, and production of a DoD acquisition program at the contracted vendor location. The candidate will provide recommendations to ensure the vendor delivers the system on schedule, within budget, and meeting key performance parameters.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and technical expertise in developing, designing, building, and integrating space hardware and software. They should be a leader and problem solver, capable of delivering results in a high-profile, fast-paced environment, and able to communicate complex results effectively with management and executive leadership.
Responsibilities include:
Serving as program advisory lead for time-critical technical projects.
Assisting in acquisition planning and drafting technical requirements.
Coordinating with stakeholders to verify program needs.
Assessing technical sufficiency, cost, quality, and delivery of program deliverables.
Providing technical advice and problem resolution support.
Managing multiple projects to ensure proper coordination and resource allocation.
Developing monthly status reports and supporting program reviews.
Drafting and reviewing program documents and reports.
Supporting acquisition planning and documentation.
Advising on design, supply chain, and integration challenges.
Overseeing efforts of junior staff and translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
Communicating effectively in both oral and written forms.
Required skills:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in space development programs for DoD or IC.
Experience with satellite system development, assembly, integration, and testing.
Experience with space vehicle and subsystem integration.
Knowledge of DoD acquisition management.
Understanding of operational environments and user needs.
Experience with contract data requirements and risk management.
Desired skills:
15+ years of relevant experience in space development programs.
Experience in production management and industrial engineering.
Experience with ACAT I/II programs.
Experience as a SETA in a government program office.
Experience with rapid prototyping and integrated capabilities.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Master's degree preferred.
Clearance:
Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
At least 2 years of SAP/SCI experience, with 1 year in the last 5 years.
Work Location & Travel:
Full-time, on-site near Kent, WA, with travel up to 25% within the U.S.
