At least 5 years of experience in designing and optimizing data centers, focusing on machine learning systems. Experience with cost and performance modeling for data center infrastructure. Experience defining rack interconnects, cable tray routing, and developing telecom networks within data centers. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant field, or an engineering license. Experience estimating, mechanical design, operation, and commissioning of mission-critical data center mechanical equipment. Experience in designing mechanical cooling plants, fire suppression systems, fuel oil systems, and other critical infrastructure components. Experience designing complex modular building assemblies and understanding of mechanical tolerances. Operational knowledge of construction safety procedures. Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, design for medium-scale production, and compliance with international building codes. About the Job
Our Data Center Engineering team focuses on the physical design of our data centers, pioneering cutting-edge strategies in a research and development environment. You will work on complex topics such as power usage and environmentally-friendly facility operations. As a visionary, you will optimize efficiencies, seek continuous improvements, generate ideas, and communicate recommendations to senior executives while collaborating with facilities technicians. Your technical expertise will ensure compliance with standards, develop infrastructure improvements, and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical). The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Architect and optimize data centers for large-scale AI/ML deployments. Develop requirements for new data center network architecture and telecom systems. Lead the development of network layout, routing, and subsystem integration within data centers and campuses. Identify solutions to accelerate project timelines and reduce infrastructure costs while maintaining high performance. Evaluate emerging technologies and influence industry trends to keep our data centers aligned with ML advancements. Partner with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot performance issues, influence product roadmaps, and integrate AI solutions.
